Alexander Horn is a writer and narrative designer in the games industry, currently at Ubisoft as a Senior Narrative Game Designer working on Tom Clancy’s The Division. His shipped games include Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, games in the Elder Scrolls and Civilization franchises, and other mmo and mobile titles.

ALEX BURMENKO - GEORGIA MEDIA WORKSHOPS

Alex is GMW's visual effects guru. His work has spanned a wide breadth of industries over the last twenty-five from years, from UPS to Emory University and Georgia Public Broadcasting.  He has held senior 2D and 3D design positions in advertising and post-production houses, and is an award-winning designer in the large-scale multi-media installation space.

In addition to working as a designer, Alex is a passionate and seasoned teacher. He has taught media softwares for 15 years at the Art Institute of Atlanta and Ledet Training, and is responsible for developing the motion graphics and Cinema 4D department at The Creative Circus. Alex studied architecture at Georgia Tech, and has a BA in Film/Video from Georgia State University.

ALEXXISS JACKSON - CINEMATOGRAPHER

Alexxiss was born and raised in Detroit, MI. From a very early age, she aspired to be a visual storyteller; she made her first film at 8 years old using the family camcorder (starring her collection of Transformers and Barbie dolls). Ten years later, she entered film school at the University of Michigan; there, she obtained a dual degree in Film/Video Studies and English. She also completed the intensive Summer Film Program at the University of Southern California..

Since then, Alexxiss has served as Director of Photography on various short films, music videos, commercials, and promotional videos; directed award-winning music videos; edited a feature film; toured nationally with a metal band to film and edit their tour video; and more. Her music videos have been shown in numerous film festivals in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the UK. 


BLAIR BATHORY - FEAR HAUS

Long time horror film aficionado and recent Atlanta transplant, Blair Bathory has quickly become a leading force in the renaissance of genre filmmaking. Through the experiences of directing her own films, Blair has become a huge proponent of giving opportunities to fellow creatives. By running a film festival, hosting a horror show, and partnering with independently owned production companies such as Moonshine Post in ATL.

BOB CARTER - PROFESSIONAL VOICE TALENT

Since 2001, Carter has been nationally known as a professional voice talent and is most widely known in anime circles for his roles in Evangelion, Vexille, Dragonball Z, Samurai 7,Beck, Full Metal Alchemist, Speed Grapher, Blassreiter, and El Cazador de la Bruja. Many people  also recognize his distinctive voice in video games like "Street Fighter" as Balrog, Shao Kahn and Baraka in "Mortal Kombat", and in Halo Wars playing alongside as a Marine, Grunt, or  Elite trooper. Carter, along with his wife September, has recently opened a superhero themed Voice Over Academy called "The Neighborhood" where they train beginners to professionals in commercial and character voice over.

Carrie Anne Hunt- Actress and Filmmaker

Carrie Anne Hunt is an actress and filmmaker originally from Columbia, SC. She started her career on stage and her classical training has proved to be a strong foundation for her current work in television and film. She is best known for her work as an actress in The Beach House (Hallmark), Living the Dream (Sky 1 – UK), Magic Mike XXL (Warner Brothers), Sleepy Hollow (FOX), Edgar Allan Poe’s Mystery Theatre (PBS) and Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime). Carrie Anne is also the Founder of Faerie Path Productions, where she is actively creating her own content.

Carrie Schrader - Carrie Schrader Films

Carrie Schrader is a writer/director whose short films and screenplays such as Boys and Dogs and Kids Are Weird and The Thorny Rose, have won film festival audience awards internationally. She was labeled one of the "Top Ten Directors To Watch Out For" by IndieWire.com. and directed an award-winning short film called Don’t Mess With Texas with Tricia Cooke written by Ethan Coen (Coen bros.). She also wrote and directed a feature-length film called "The Founders" (distributed by Level 33 Films) which won “Best Feature” at AFF and premiered at Edinburgh IFF. She recently directed a spot for Netflix and has worked for the likes of AMC, TLC Networks, Home Depot, Dominos and many more. She was a participant at IFP in New York and was an Outfest Screenwriting Lab fellow. Carrie also has a very expensive but surprisingly useful MFA in directing from Columbia University and believes that spaghetti and meatballs are a perfectly acceptable breakfast choice. CODY VONDELL - Artist Life Vision

Cody Vondell is a Virginia born multi-media designer with a Bachelor of Science in graphic design and an Associates Degree in game design. Now based in Atlanta, Georgia Cody has worked with clients such as The Weather Channel, Lamplit Productions and more. Over the past decade, Cody has built an eclectic portfolio working on a variety of projects dealing with both visual and audio aspects. With a strong sense of design and a unique feel for the project at hand, he     provides an interesting view into the creative digital world of design.

Dale Adams is a self described sonic/visual post-architect. As a creative technologist, teacher and innovator he's always blurring the lines between technology, experience and art. His art is conceptual explorations in space, resonance, empathy and sound. From his installations and the Dream Collection Agency to his homeless project, One Night, he explores virtual reality's opportunities in new and exciting ways.

David Smith is a writer, filmmaker, and photographer. His photographs have most recently appeared in the Local Color Exhibit as part of the 2013 Atlanta Celebrates Photography festival. His short film, BRAINCHILD, was an official selection at numerous Film Festivals across the south. His work in commercial video production has earned him two corporate top-honor awards from KINKO's and The Bridgestone Group, as well as three Telly Awards for his work with the Tennessee Center for Child Welfare. He is currently Film Crew Technology Program Director at Columbia State in Franklin Tennessee and enjoys taking photographs while hiking with his wife and twin daughters.

He has received 2 Emmy Awards, 7 Emmy Award nominations, 2 Promax / BDA Silver awards, a New York One award and a Bronze Telly. And has most recently been named one of the top 50 Creative Technologists for his work in immersive storytelling from Studio Daily.

Elliott Rothman works as TRICK 3D’s Director of Innovation & Development, leading the studio’s technology teams as they use emerging technologies, such as AR and VR, to solve real-world problems for Fortune 500 clients. Rothman champions smart, applied and beautiful uses of technology to all of TRICK 3D’s projects. Prior to joining the studio, Rothman led experiential multimedia projects for The SuperGroup agency, working with clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Budweiser and Holiday Inn Express.

ERIC COOK - FINITE REFLECTION

Eric has graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Computational Media, where he led 4 game projects in the Video Game Development organization (VGDev.com). During his time at Tech, he co-oped at Cartoon Network as a QA Analyst and now works as a Production Assistant for the Cartoon Network Games team. On the side, he works for his game studio, Finite Reflection Studios. He has been working in Unity for almost 5 years and has completed 9 games outside of classwork. He was the head TA for a course that teaches C coding and game design at Tech. After that, he became really interested in backend coding and has set up many systems for several games.

EVELYN J OLANSKY

Evelyn is a Georgia-born transgender woman with an unmanageable number of interests. She has served as a Transgender subject matter expert in many roles, most recently her active work as a public health project coordinator. In another life, she produced low-budget documentaries on commission (as well as the requisite music videos for friends), but she always keeps a camera and a copy of Premiere close at hand for when the need arises.

As a Independent Producer and Line Producer, Gabrielle started her career as an Art PA on the independent horror film and was promoted to Production Manager by the time cameras rolled on principal photography. Gregory Rossomme - Artist Life Vision

Independent filmmaker Gregory Rossomme is a local to Atlanta, Georgia, and has been working with film for the past 10 years. He has directed, shot, edited and collaborated on shorts, documentaries, music videos, commercials and educational films. When he is not creating film, Gregory runs the Mammal Gallery in downtown Atlanta where he strives to maintain a creative environment where art can happen. His film “VR Dream Treatment” placed first in the AT&T forty-eight hour film challenge. In addition, when he worked with Rock and Egg production the film “Free” was placed in the top ten in the Bloody Cuts film contest. He says that story telling is everything, but it is nothing without an audience.

Jennna Kanell

After spearheading Laser Pigeon Pictures LLC, Jenna Kanell delivered a TEDx Talk on their vanguard short, “Bumblebees,” about her autistic younger brother on his first date. "Bumblebees" screened at over thirty film festivals around the world, bringing Jenna and Vance to speak at numerous institutions including Harvard Medical School. More recently, she's the writer and director of “Max & The Monster,” a darkly comedic short film exploring the lasting impacts of trauma. Working for years as a SAG-AFTRA actor and stunt performer, she’s also 1st assistant directed numerous commercials and two feature films. She trains on the side as a level three in Krav Maga, and has taught her cat to do tricks.

KARTIK KINI - FINITE REFLECTION

Kartik is finishing up his Computational Media degree at Georgia Tech, is a co-op at Cartoon Network, the head TA for a game design-oriented class at Tech, and is starting his own video game studio: Finite Reflection studios. He has been working with Unity for the past 4 years and won Best In Georgia for the Global Game Jam last year. The only thing he loves as much as making video games is teaching others how to make games.

Katelyn Studer is from Sarasota, Fl and moved to Atlanta to work in the film industry in 2015.  Since moving she has built relationships with other independent freelance artists and filmmakers and has been able to sustain a life in film.  Within the past year she started to focus on the wardrobe department, but gained knowledge in many different departments and became a bit of a jack of all trades.

Acclaimed documentarian Lauren Speeth hails from a filmmaking family. Her films have been screened in festivals worldwide and have been aired on television including Starfish TV, Marin TV and The Classic Arts Channel. Among her film fest accolades: Best Woman Filmmaker; Best Inspirational Film; Best Documentary Feature; Best 3D Film; Best International Mid-Length Documentary; Best Music Video; and Best Jazz Video. Speeth, a classical musician by training, entered filmmaking with projects to capture musical performances and to equip, encourage, and inspire engagement. A dozen years later, she still brings a musical aesthetic to all her work. Her film documenting the “Concert for Hope,” blended music with a call for action, marking the launch of The Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality and garnering a Silver Lei award at the Hawaii International Film Festival, among other honors. Her exploration of the land and legends of the emerald isle, "Ireland, The Celtic Way," took Best Documentary at the 3D Film Festival in Los Angeles, while “What Green Can Be” was an official selection of the Sedona International Film Festival. Her latest effort, “Exploring Hope for Better Times,” is currently garnering awards at film festivals.  Having judged thousands of film entries and participated in panels on the power of storytelling for change, Speeth especially enjoys encouraging the next generation of filmmakers through her association with Campus Moviefest.

Lynne Hansen is the founder of MAKE FILMS LIKE A GIRL, an initiative that showcases positive news about women working in film. As a director/writer, her short film CHOMP has screened at over 70 film festivals in 12 countries and won or been nominated for 30 awards, including the Fright Meter Award for the Best Short Horror Film of the Year. Maxim Jago is an award winning film director and screenwriter, known for his books and training materials used by film schools and film makers internationally. With over 20 years of production experience, Maxim is regular conference speaker, as a futurist and media technology expert. His interest in breaking the boundaries of technology and the human experience bring him into regular contact with some of the brightest minds in the industry, with colleagues working at the cutting edges of design, creativity and technology. Much of his work explores the fusion of socio-technical, educational, spiritual, and creative practice. Maxim’s favourite word is 'Why' (his second favourite word is Coffee).


MOLLY COFFEE - ZOMBIE CAT PRODUCTIONS

Molly began her film career working by day full time in the art department for shows like The Carbonaro Effect and The Walking Dead. By night, she has always championed independent film. With a solid core and lots of experience behind her, Molly has now lent her design, rigging and fabrication skills to television shows such as Stan Against Evil and FX series Atlanta, feature films like Steel Country and V/H/S Viral and even stage and puppetry shows. In the meantime, Molly is the creator/director of the puppet short film ""Magic The Gathering The Musical"", an Atlanta Film Society Filmmaker-in-Residence, a member of the international female directors' group ""Alliance of Women Directors"", and is the owner of the independent production company Zombie Cat Productions. She also records weekly podcasts with her co-consiprator Charles Thomas called Atlanta Film Chat where they focus on what Atlanta can do to make the local film community stronger.

Multiple award-winner Paul Jenkins has been creating, writing and building franchises for over 25 years in the graphic novel, film and videogame industries. Paul has enjoyed recognition on the New York Times bestseller list, has been nominated for two BAFTA Awards, and has been the recipient of a government-sponsored Prism Award for his contributions in storytelling and characterization.

Ryan Monolopolus - On Camera Combatives

Ryan is a director and action designer based in Atlanta, Georgia. His work includes an array of short and long-form content, TV pilots, and commercials created domestically and in Europe.

In 2018 Ryan launched Film it 4 Fun in Atlanta uniting local professionals to support and incubate local above the line work.

Recent work includes creating the animated series The Super Best Friends, Action Directing two pilots for Playstation TV, Action designing music videos for the Migos, and training actors and performers in fight movement on some of Atlanta's biggest shows.

Ryan is also a member of SAG-AFTRA, and had performed stunts on a number of network shows and movies.

SEPTEMBER DAY CARTER - PROFESSIONAL VOICE TALENT

September Day Carter began her career in voice over in February 2007 and was live announcing for the MTV Video Music Awards in, appropriately, September of that same year. She has directed many a traveler in World of Warcraft as Night Elf and Blood Elf NPC characters and is also known as the voice of "Skynet" for Warner Brothers promotionals. Her's is the voice used for the Text-to-Speech function on all generations of the Amazon Kindle and it is also a part of the international exhibit, Dialog in the Dark. Other clients include ABC Family, Levi's, Coke, Bravo TV, and Sea World. Recently, September, along with her voice actor husband Bob Carter, opened their voice over training academy, The Neighborhood, where they coach beginners and professionals in commercial and character voice over.

SOLOMON CHASE - GEORGIA MEDIA WORKSHOPS

Solomon Chase is both an award-winning filmmaker/director and a senior 2D/3D animator.  He has extensive agency experience working in New York and Atlanta as a motion designer, and his clients include Warner Brothers, Coca-Cola, AT&T, US Bank, among others.  Solomon has taught film and media applications at Compass Prep Academy in Woodstock, GA, and at WonderRoot in Atlanta.  He also has a great interest in Russian cinema & culture, and recently taught English in Moscow.  In his free time, he enjoys studying new techniques and cutting-edge technologies like VR & AR.

Stacey Palmer was born and raised in New Jersey, where her interest in film production started. She began her career as a screenwriter before moving into the role of producer. She has worked on such films as, "Attack of the Morningside Monster", "Idiots Are Us" and the upcoming thriller, "Haven's End". Currently she speaks on Gender Education and its role in the media.


STEPHANIE MARLO - ARTIST LIFE VISION

Founder of Artist Life Vision, Stephanie Marlo has traveled the nation capturing and producing photos and videos for over 15 years. Over the past couple of years her focus has been within XR production. With published works, awards, international features and a strong team she strives to create more and more VR, AR and 360 content for others to experience.


STEPHANE CERETTI - VFX SUPERVISOR MARVEL STUDIOS

Native of France and a Canadian citizen, Stephane Ceretti started in the VFX industry at Buf Compagnie in Paris in 1996. He began his career working on "Batman and Robin” and numerous commercials and became VFX Supervisor for Buf on Tarsem’s “The Cell". Stephane has been involved as VFX Supervisor on major feature films such as the Wachowski’s Matrix sequels, as well as Oliver Stone’s “Alexander” and various genres of films from "Harry Potter 4" to "Batman Begins" and "Silent Hill”. He has been overall VFX Supervisor for a few projects at Buf including "The Prestige" by world acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. He joined MPC and Method studios in London where he met with Marvel Studios. He started as 2nd VFX supervisor on the shoot of Joe Johnston’s “The First Avenger : Captain America”. Other projects include Fox Studios' “X-men : First Class”. He also co-supervised the Visual Effects of Warner Bros.’s “Cloud Atlas” directed by Lana & Andy Wachovski & Tom Tykwer. Following his work on Marvel’s “Thor : The Dark World” as a 2nd Unit Supervisor he joined Marvel’s “Guardians Of the Galaxy” as the main VFX supervisor followed by Marvel’s “Doctor Strange”. For his work on these two movies he got nominated to the Oscars, the BAFTAs as well as the VES Awards.


SUSAN PICKETT - MARVEL STUDIOS

Susan Pickett began her career as a Set Production Assistant in 1985 in New York City.  By 1991 she was a member of the Director’s Guild on the New York Qualifications List and was on the Los Angeles Qualifications List by 1993. She has worked as a 2nd AD on many features, including Ron Howard’s Apollo 13, Garry Marshall’s Exit to Eden, John Landis’ Innocent Blood, and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare.  Susan transitioned into visual effects in 1998, and worked as a Visual Effects Coordinator on films such as Fat Albert, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.  She then signed up with Marvel’s Executive Producer, Victoria Alonso, to work as the Visual Effects Production Manager on Jon Favreau’s Iron Man, and was then promoted to Visual Effects Producer on Iron Man II.  Since then she has produced the visual effects for Marvel’s Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange, and currently Ant Man II. In addition to working on over 30 feature films, Susan is a member of the Directors Guild, the Producers Guild, the Visual Effects Society and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Tavio Castrillo - Artist Life Vision

Tavio is an innovation specialist, partner and co-founder at MR3D, an Atlanta based, 3D full-body scanning company. A professional designer, artist, and mixed reality developer, he has a passion for emerging technology, gaming, tinkering and integrating these platforms to create new, exciting media interactions. A SCAD alumni, with a BFA of Computer Arts and 2D animation, he has worked providing creative services for various video game developers and publishers. He now resides in Atlanta, working alongside an amazing team of artists and developers creating mixed reality content and original immersive experiences.

Trisha Solyn - Waking Dreamz Productions

Trisha Solyn, an award winning Cinematographer, believes that Cinematography should serve the story above all else. She has shot for all mediums, including television, theatrical, dvd, Internet, and publishing. She believes that good pre-production and scheduling, as well as a happy and efficient crew, can make any budget look big; But her core belief that “You can’t light a Buick to look like a Porche” leads her to seek out strong, unique stories and filmmakers.


Her passion for Cinematography began while studying film at UCLA’s school of Theater Film and Television where among her other accolades she earned a nomination for a student Emmy. She continued her pursuit of excellence in NYU’s Graduate Cinematography program where she earned her Master's degree and won outstanding cinematography on the thesis film ""Goodbye Winter"". She is in post production on her second narrative feature “ This World Alone” and is excited to start pre production on her third Feature “Cold Dead Hands”.

VAN JENSEN

Van Jensen is an Atlanta-based comic book author and filmmaker, working on properties including James Bond, The Flash and Green Lantern Corps. A former newspaper crime reporter and magazine editor, he broke into comics as the writer of Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer, and co-created Two Dead from Simon & Schuster, Cryptocracy from Dark Horse, as well as The Leg: The Remarkable Reappearance of Santa Anna’s Disembodied Limb. In 2016, he was named a U.S. State Department Comic Book Ambassador and has traveled internationally to spread the gospel of comics. In 2016, he began writing and directing film, shooting short films and music videos and working on projects including Stranger Things.
